The Edinburgh Just Festival is seeking to appoint new members to its Board of Trustees to help support the delivery of its annual programme of events, projects and initiatives. Potential candidates could come from a variety of different backgrounds but should have a commitment to promoting public discussion and engagement around issues of social justice at the local, national and international levels.
Just Festival Trustees play a key role in the management of Festival staff as well as contributing to the creative output and project work of the Festival. Candidates should be comfortable working at board level and be confident that they can make a valuable contribution to the work of the Just Festival.
We are looking to appoint three new Trustees to the board and are keen to attract committed and highly-skilled individuals with experience in any of the following areas:
- Public Relations and Communications
- Production (theatrical/musical)
- Interfaith dialogue
- Human Resources
- Public Sector and/or Third Sector
Trustees play a vital role, overseeing the management of the Festival and acting as Festival ambassadors in a variety of contexts. Trustees are appointed for an initial three year period and meetings take place monthly. Attendance at all meetings is by no means expected but consistent attendance and input would be valued.
If feel you have the experience, the passion and the commitment to be appointed as a Trustee of the Just Festival, please send a CV to:
Just Festival, St John’s Church, Princes Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4BJ
Or e-mail a CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
Informal enquiries should be made to the Convener of the Just Festival Board of Directors, Thomas Lea: email@example.com
