The arts have for centuries been used as a powerful tool for social change. And the sharing of art from different cultures, peoples and places is one of the most potent ways of uniting humans. However, in the midst of today’s climate crisis, we all must be mindful of how we travel. Is it right for artists to tour using means of transport that requires fossil fuels? What are the roles and responsibilities of the touring artist in a climate emergency?

This conversation event will be chaired by Ian Garret from the Centre for Sustainable Practice in the Arts, Canada.
